When God lets you know He got your back

About two weeks ago I had a meeting with one of my pastors at a coffee shop in a mall (Mission House Coffee, to be precise). This coffee shop it's owned by one of the other pastors in the church. I've been there several times before, and, as a mall there are a few entrances. I always park in the main entrance, ans walk through the entire mall (not that big) to get to the coffee shop.

This time, however, I parked closer to the coffee shop.

I've been at that parking lot only once before. It was back in October, as I was shopping for a costume in a seasonal store. At that time, everything was coming my way. I was getting into something I've always wanted and was expecting.

Unfortunately, that didn't worked out.

So, that day, as I was walking through the parking lot, I felt super lonely. I had been feeling lonely for a few days, but in that moment it was seriously overtaking me. I decided to talk to God, out loud, and tell Him how I was feeling.

I made it to the coffee shop and, as I set my stuff down, I noticed a board with notes pinned on it. One of them read “To: Someone who is feeling lonely. I hope this makes your day a little better”. After asking what was that about, and doubting the blessing, I took the note and got a free coffee. 

I love coffee!!

As I sipped my coffee I realized that God was letting me know, “I hear you, I see you. Here’s a gift, I got your back”.

It truly did made my day a lot better. Unlike humans, He’s not too busy with couples and forget about those that are single. God always hears us. And every now and then, if we are open to it, He’ll let us know.
